FDG-PET provides quantitative measurements of regional cerebral hemodynamics and metabolism. It can provide accurate regional measurements of Cerebral Blood Flow (CBF), oxygen consumption with cerebral metabolic rate of oxygen and enables mapping of neuroreceptors.
