HRCT determines the extent of lung disease and associated emphysema, and differentiates from other interstitial lung diseases.Pulmonary fibrosis patients show patchy, peripheral and sub pleural distribution of the reticular opacities and small cystic spaces with lower lobe predominance on HRCT. |
