Ultrafast electron beam CT (EBCT) measures the calcium content in the atherosclerotic lesions. Multislice CT provides the anatomical and morphological images of large vessels and the coronary arteries. Coronary CT angiography (CTA) evaluates the lumen and walls of the coronary arteries. CTA also involved in identification of different components with different densities of atherosclerotic plaque such as lipid plaques, fibrotic plaques and calcium components of the plaque. |
