Prostate cancer is a cancerous growth that develops in the prostate gland present in males. It is second leading cause of cancer deaths among the men. The primary tumors are heterogenous and multifocal. Age is the major risk factor for prostate cancer. The causes of prostate cancer are genetic factors, environmental and dietary factors.

Prostate cancer treated efficiently when detected early. It is important to accurately stage prostate cancer to decide optimal treatment with the least morbidity and mortality.
